Surplus property is a part of the Department of service which is responsible for the elimination, redistribution or sale of used equipment / property to the University of Missouri and other mid-Missouri government agencies and educational institutions no longer use. The sale of this equipment is handled through public auctions, sales, or online. A disposal through our software application must be completed and approved before the items can be picked up. Surplus receives no General gov auctions mo operating (G. O funds.). All salaries, operational benefits, sales and marketing expenses are paid by the 35% retained by the sale of surplus equipment. . Monday to Friday from 7:30-16:00 (personal limited 12 - 1) there are no deliveries after 15:45. Closed on major holidays. (list of the major holidays). Public auctions are conducted by excess of property every three (3) to four (4) weeks (usually on Wednesday) and begin promptly at 10:00. The auctions are conducted in the surplus property warehouse, where the public and departments can bid on items. Auction flyers are by email on Friday before the public auction.
